My account seems to have been reactivated. That's pretty strange. Anyway, feel free to overload it again folks - the more people who see it the better!
I'll be attempting to arrange a mirror site in the meantime to stop it from happening again. -j |

My review...
The Good... I like the name, since it was one of the more popular rumored names for Episode II. The effects are just mindbogling, and the story is well told. It leaves plenty to think about, and teases you, like a reall trailer would. I love the details, like the under construction Death Star and plants in the background. The voices are excellent, and the music is perfect. The animation runs smooth and the greenscreen effects create a nice feel. Corusant for instance is recreated in a brilliant way, and I like the background in the Jedi Council. The Bad... Being a StarWars fan, I'm not really satisfide with the story at some points. For instance, the Trade Federation and CoIS is not likely to have such a big role, since they will be mostly whiped out by the time of Episode III. And there was one animation that somewhat iritates me. The Jedi getting pushed off the edge of a Corusant building. The rolling is nice, the cape is nice, but the falling is to slow. Even for slowmotion it looks bad. The guy should have fallen out of the screen in 3 or 5 frames, but this looks like he's haning by a parachute. And the voices in the Senate can't really be heard properly... The Ugly... The Boba Fett scene looks to greenscreened... Conclusion... I'm going to have a hard time making BoS look better... 9.7 out of 10 Tjeerd If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you. Natalie Portman |

A point that people commenting on gravity are missing, is that we are not quite on earth. So gravity could be less strong, if present at all.

I did not miss that point stefan
check out my review a few pages back... or read below: (*snip*) Gravity: During the very first viewing all of the falls looked...err..wrong. Especially when minifigs fell from walls. The acceleration did not seem right. Now I know these characters are on other planets, but even in the films, falls due to gravity resemble that of earth... (*snip*) I have made the important point bold. My point is, in all of the 'actual' starwars films to date, most planet based scenes have gravity that seems to closely resemble that of earth (funny that!). Thus, it seemed really out of place in ROTE. have to say, I am soooo impressed Jay's film has created THIS MUCH discussion... cheers, hali |

Yes, you are right. The acceleration is not right. I didn't deny that. It's just that the speed of the fall is not of much importance.

I agree, it isn't of much importance in the big scheme of things, but I had to find something to talk about so Jay can improve even more in the future... !!
(damn, I should have said the whole thing was awesome and not to aim any higher...) hali |

The planet that figs is falling to has as good as the same gravity as Earth has... Unless he's not supposed to be on Corusant...
But then again, I might be overanalising... Tjeerd If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you. Natalie Portman |

Overanalising.
It's funny that this facet of the movie is a hard one to swallow for many viewers because I shot it twice and felt that the first was too fast for anyone to register what the falling shape was. Maybe I should have left it alone. Ah well - we learn by doing. -j |
