Even my Download accelerator who make's 7 connections with the server has lot of trouble with it. With 7 connections, it give me a speed of 10KB/sec. I though it's maybe my problem, but it's not, when I trie to download a movie from my server, with 7 connections it give's me a speed of 450KB/sec, but my cable connection isn't that fast, so every time after two seconds, I see it downgrading to 180KB/sec Man Bickshelf is so Slowwwwwwww discover the future of the new age in brickmotion

SOME of us DON'T HAVE cable, and are perfectly paitent enough to DL from Brickshelf at less than 3k/s, sometimes as slow as 1k/s ... I just let Getright do it's thing... tick away in the background... with ONE connection to the server... using multiple connections to a server for one person to DL one file is REALLY selfish, it hammers the server, leaves less connections for the OTHER people out there wanting to DL, and contributes to making it SLOW! ... so DON'T whine and whinge about how "slow" your CABLE connection is ("slow" being close to 10x what most dialup modem users have) when YOU YOURSELF are HAMMERING the server helping CAUSE the problem! Brickshelf is FREE. FREE space, FREE bandwidth, and totally FREE to signup and use, it does what it's supposed to do, and it's pretty relyable, there are NO "catches", sure it's a little slow sometimes, but REALLY, considering the service on offer, it's a SMALL price to pay. name me another place where I can host the (something like) 50Mb of movies I've made for FREE, with NO bandwith restrictions ? stop complaining, learn paitience, go animate something while you wait for the download. This service is priceless, and you can be glad that it's priceless, otherwise there wouldn't be as many brickfilms on this site. I'm glad that Brickshelf exists. But Brickshelf is odd, I must admit. Sometimes I have download rates of 90kbps (my limit), sometimes 1-2kbps But hey, in Germany you say: "Einem geschenktem Gaul schaut man nicht ins Maul!" But I'm too tired to translate that... - Holgor PS: Confusing words, eh?

And I agree with Bluntman: one person, one connection! Where's your patience? I thought patience is necessary in any animator, but sometimes it's hard to notice in this forum. Strange, that I'm the one who is complying. I'll be never patient, I'm paying to much for my cable connection, so I want speed. Yeah I know it's selfish, but, I don't wane sit and watch how the file is being transferred to my comp, because during downloading my old comp give's me a hard time, so I can't animate. That's why I'm buying a new one, so that during downloading , I can animate and render movies 4 time's faster. BTW, don't forget that I'm not a real animator! And you're complaining that it's downgrading to 180 kb/s? I have cable, and I'm downloading something from brickshelf that's running at 2.3 kb/s! Which yeah, means that recently, it's been very slow. Even at my school, my friends tried to download my trailer, but gave up after 30 minutes. And about Download Accelerator, I used to use it when I had 56k, and only for files above 20 mb (mainly because I didn't know about GetRight, I just wanted my downloads to be saved midprogress). Now that I have cable, I never use it. Really, it is selfish to use up all those connections, especially if you all ready have a fast connection. If I'm waiting for something to download, I either get up and walk around, or do some homework, or watch some tv, or usually just look around the internet while waiting. Why are people so impatient? Be creative and do something while waiting. In your case, Patryk, play around in 3dsmax or something. EDIT: Now that I reread the original post, I guess nevermind about the 180 kb/sec thing. Because, If someone want's see any of my movies he is able to download it with a normal speed , so he don't needs to wait for hours. I don't have any home work, I don't like to watch tv, bacause, I can't choose to see what I want to see, so yes I play with 3d max and surf the net But I'm not downloading that much at all, but every time when I download any of your movies, it's so anoing to wait so long to see your final result.
