Can someone help me with this program??????i have had nothing but trouble with it from the beginning.While in the middle of trying to edit it or playback,actully just trying to use the darn thing period it will either,1-completly crash,2.-freeze up or, 3- the audio and video are extremly glitchy .I have windows ME,I have tried reinstalling a zillion times.I have no idea what the problem is.We tried it on my mothers brand new Dell Dimension 4550,Windows XP,and the same problems occured.Also the rare times I do get to finish editing and go to burn it on a cd its always coming up with an error message when the cd I go to try and play the cd later saying that there is a codec error but I can not find a codec that fixes it.

I have a 2.4 ghz pc with 512 megabytes of ram and have encountered the same problems. Windows ME is more unstable then Windows XP (which I have), but still: The short version of your questions can be answered with the following: this program sucks
 It's actually OKAY for home videos etc. but it has great problems with lots of small clips, especially if they are not in the same framerate as a video-camera. I had a lot of trouble trying to edit 15 fps film with it. My only help is that you save for EVERY move you do, and do the editing in portions. You do f. ex. the first half, then render that to uncompressed AVI, then do the second, and then combine them. You may also try to update the software (Help -> check for updates) but my best advice is to try another program. GOOD LUCK (no "mixed feelings" smilie) |
